Conference Scholarship

The SAFETY Scholarship Committee has developed equity-based criteria for the distribution of awards. Only participants who are presenting at the conference (oral/poster/workshop) are eligible for any type of award. The following types of scholarships will be awarded:

  • Registration Fee Waiver Award – This award includes only a waiver of registration fees.
  • Accommodation Award - This award includes only accommodation during the conference days and will be arranged by the Safety Organising Committee. This may be given in conjunction with the Registration Fee Waiver Award.
  • Travel Award – This award includes the waiver of air travel, VISA and Travel Insurance and Airport Transfer (from residence country to nearest airport and on return) - (As applicable*)

Selection Criteria

The Scholarship Committee aims to provide awards to the maximum number of participants using an equity principle. Partial scholarships might be awarded more frequently, and participants are advised to seek funding support from other sources. Applications should be made here. We will seek confirmation from those selected for partial scholarships about their ability to fund the remaining cost before making an award. We will use an intersectional criterion to make awards. Participants will be scored based on the following criteria:
